March Newsletter: Under a Big Blue Sky — NEW MUSIC!

Wow! You believe it’s March already? I can’t believe how you how fast the year’s fying by. It must mean we’re all having fun. I know I am. Anyway, here’s this month’s newsletter. I’ve got plenty of new projects to announce as well as the brand new FREE Song-of-the-Month.

For a video version of this newsletter, check out the following videoblog. http://qik.com/video/5268265

The Dreamchilde Suites continue!

Thank you all for making last month’s debut, Tootie Got Booty, such a wonderful success! We had plenty of downloads and even got a feature on the Bama Love Soul website (http://bamalovesoul.com). Not to be outdone, we have even more new music this month with the release of Big Blue Sky, which is sort of an homage to classic 80s Piano Pop. If you like Billy Joel, Elton John, Hall and Oates and Toto — and if you like my song Twenty Days — then you’re going to love Big Blue Sky.  It’s the first track of The Dreamchilde Suites that really lets me show off this fantastic band. I got amazing performances from Noah, BluJ and Dash and was able to put together a demo that sounds as good full-blow live performance. So I’m proud to release this month’s free demo to you all. Go to the buttons below and make sure you get your copy! Also spread the word to your friends if you enjoy the track.

Please drop me a line letting me know what you think about the track!

You’re the Star!

Along with the release of the new song I also want to point you to some new sections and features of the website. The Dreamchilde Suites are meant to be an interactive project. Not only am I making music for you, but I want you to submit material to me to include in the project. Things like fan videos, illustrations, photos, album cover art — I want you, the fan, to help me generate all of it. I’m really looking for you to step up and bring your own voice to the project, so I’ve opened up a section of the website for just that. If you look at the Bonus section on the website, I’ve created a form in which you can upload any media file. Whether it’s video, text, a photo or what have you, please feel free to send me anything that inspires you from my music. I’d love to see it.

Producers and Remixers: I want to hear your remixes! My music is here for you as well. You can download remix stems of my songs in the Bonus section and I’ve also included a SoundCloud dropbox so you can upload your remixes. In the future, I’ll even include more stems and possibly GarageBand sessions.

Get your remixes going, work on your fan videos and upload them! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I Need Your Feedback!

A lot of you probably don’t know this, but — besides the band — I’m pretty much a one-man operation. I record, produce, and distribute my music without the help of a major record label. So I’m looking to you, my audience to show me how to better market and promote my material. I’ve created an online survey, and it would really mean a lot if you went to the link and filled it out. It’s got important questions on how I’m running the site and marketing my music. Please be honest, as that’s the only way I can really improve what I’m doing.

Click here or go to the SURVEY section of the website.

Also, you can call me and leave your feedback, suggestions or stories of how my music has affected you. Just dial 424-234-3865 and leave a message.

Help me with the CD!

In keeping with the interactive theme of this project, I’m looking to you folks with artistic talent to help me make this album as amazing as possible. Specifically, I’m looking for illustrators, graphic designers and film maker to assist me with things like album cover art and music videos. If you believe in what I’m doing and wish to lend your talents, please shoot me an email!

As a fan, you are my best word-of-mouth advertisement. If you’re really digging what you’re hearing at Philip Clark Central, you’d be doing me a personal favor if you spread the word to your friends. Send ’em links to the homepage; tell them about the free song-a-month. There are even widgets at the bottom of this email that you can embed in your own website to stream music and more! I can’t emphasize how much I count on you for support and spreading the word. So please, go tell two friends right now to check out my music and get on the mailing list. You keep doing that, and I’ll keep cranking out the jams.
