Free Funky Music Friday for February 5, 2010

Ok, I have a confession.

This was actually going to be my last Free Music Friday post. I’ve recently had a lot of things on my plate, and the compilation of this list has been daunting — to say the least — since the new year. But an eleventh hour tweet (thanks @JayTeeDee!) made me realize that perhaps I’ve been providing a useful service to the music community. So, I’ll persevere, with one caveat: I’m going to be a little more selective about the mixtapes I post. I’m going to skip the things that aren’t really my cup of tea in favor of giving you quality, not so much quantity.
